Wisconsin man admits to sex crime involving Iowa minor

A Wisconsin man has admitted to illegal sexual activity with an underage Iowan. Thirty-year-old Christopher Heath-Lowther of Platteville, Wisconsin pled guilt to one count of transporting a minor across a state line with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and one count of transporting a minor across a state line for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.

Heath-Lowther admitted to traveling to Iowa in December of 2013 and February of 2014 to pick up and take a minor from Iowa to Wisconsin for the sexual activity. He faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison with a possible life sentence and a $500,000 fine.
