A Hubbard woman who admitted to a scheme to get a loan from a bank will spend nearly 4 years in prison. Stephanie Drake — formerly known as Drake-Zierke — pled guilty in July to one count of bank fraud and one count of unlawful manufacture and possession of a U.S. Justice Department seal.

The 51-year-old admitted she got a bank to loan her money by fabricating a document that showed her husband had won a legal settlement of $2.2 million. Drake also admitted to presenting false loan paperwork that showed her husband’s parents agreed to guarantee a loan. She was sentenced to 41 months in prison and ordered to pay $708,000 in restitution.
