Ottumwa police look for hit-and-run driver

November 24, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A hit-and-run incident over the weekend in southeast Iowa sent a teenager to the hospital with serious injuries. Ottumwa Police were called just before midnight on Saturday to downtown Ottumwa, where a person was found lying in a street and appeared to have been run over.

The victim, 18-year-old Logan Fleeman, was taken to the Ottumwa Regional Health Center and later air-lifted to a hospital in Des Moines. Police are reviewing footage from downtown cameras to try and identify the vehicle that hit Fleeman and left the scene.
