Victim in Clayton County fatal accident identified

Patrol-logoThe Iowa State Patrol has identified a woman killed in a crash late Sunday night in northeast Iowa. The crash happened around 11 p.m. in rural Clayton County. A person living nearby called police after hearing a loud noise outside.

The patrol reports 24-year-old Shari Ann Harbaugh of Edgewood died after the car she was driving entered a ditch and struck an embankment.

Harbaugh was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the car. The vehicle rolled and came to a stop in a nearby field.
