A northeast Iowa teenager is facing felony charges for a fatal traffic crash.
After a month long investigation, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office on Wednesday filed charges against 18-year-old Anthony Fogle of Independence.
Deputies say Fogle was driving his pickup on November 1st, west of Oelwein, when the vehicle entered a ditch, struck a driveway, became airborne, and rolled several times.
A passenger, 20-year-old Branden Samuel of Wadena, was ejected and killed in the crash. Fogle and another passenger, 21-year-old Louis Lumpkin of Oelwein, were injured.
The charges against Fogle include vehicular homicide, OWI, and reckless driving.
