Davenport police now calling weekend death a possible homicide

January 13, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Davenport police now say a death in that city is considered a possible homicide. Police received a call Sunday afternoon from a person who said an acquaintance was unresponsive in the apartment they share on Davenport’s west side.

Upon arrival police and EMS personnel found the body of 32-year-old Justin Jovan McBride of Davenport. An autopsy was conducted on Monday. Preliminary findings indicate McBride died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
