Iowa woman arrested on drug charge after Nebraska traffic stop

January 13, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

An Iowa woman faces drug charges in Nebraska. According to a Nebraska State Patrol incident report, 48-year-old Lori Ferleman of Mason City, Iowa, was stopped by a Nebraska State Trooper on Interstate 80 in Buffalo County, Nebraska, near the Minden exit Sunday afternoon for failing to stay in her lane.

The trooper then searched Ferleman’s car after a Nebraska State Patrol canine detected the presence of drugs coming from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the trooper discovered more than 35 pounds of marijuana in some duffle bags in the truck of the vehicle. Ferleman was taken to the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of having possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
