January 14, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A central Iowa man is accused of trying to kill his girlfriend and her mother during an argument early this morning. Lieutenant Ryan Goecke of the Marshalltown Police Department identifies the suspect as 24-year-old Esperidion “Eddy” De Los Santos of Marshalltown.

He was involved in an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend and her mother. Police say he and apparently set the women and the apartment they were in on fire, then fled. De Los Santos was arrested and faces multiple charges including two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson.

Neither woman has been identified. Reports say both are hospitalized. No condition reports are being released.
