The man who authorities believe shot a woman in Chariton on Friday morning now faces an attempted murder charge.
Authorities are still looking for 45-year-old Robert Eugene Graham, the suspected shooter. He’s described as armed and dangerous. According to a statement from the Iowa Department of Public Safety, the public “should not attempt to confront him.”
Thirty-three-year-old Gayle Darrah was shot in the driveway of her home in Chariton on Friday morning. She is in critical condition in a Des Moines hospital. Officials believe Graham, the suspect in her shooting, may be driving a gray 2014 Toyota Corolla with Illinois license plate number V87 2014.
Police in Trenton, Missouri, posted a “community advisory” about Graham on social media because Graham has family in the area. Trenton is about 80 miles directly south of Chariton.
