The Iowa State women fall to 6-6 in the Big 12. Texas Tech used a 21-5 run in the opening half to blow the game open in a 71-58 victory in Lubbock. “Defensively we were basically nonexistent…really didn’t do anything that we had game planned for,” ISU coach Bill Fennelly says.

It was a cold shooting night for the Cyclones who made only three of 20 from three point range. Fennelly says you can’t win games when you shoot 35 percent from the field and 15 percent from three-point line and don’t play defense. “I don’t care who you play, where you play, you are not going to have any success. And we were certainly looking up hill the whole night,” Fennelly says.

Bryanna Fernstrom led the Cyclones with 19 points as they fall to 15-8 overall.
