Cyclones look to end conference road game losing streak

February 16, 2015 By Todd Kimm

The Iowa State Cyclones will have a chance to solve their road woes in Big 12 play this week. The Cyclones visit Oklahoma State on Wednesday night and follow that up with a trip to Texas on Saturday. ISU has dropped four straight on the road in league play.

Cyclone coach Fred Hoiberg says the home fans have a way of pulling a team together when things go bad at home, but you don’t have that on the road and they have to find a way to overcome those problems.

Hoiberg says it takes a complete effort to win on the road. “You can’t just play great in the first half, you have to play great for 40 minutes,” Hoiberg says. He says they have talked a lot about the issues that they have had on the road and hopefully they will be able to step up and compete.

Iowa State is 8-4 in the Big 12 and remains 14th in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll.
