The Drake Bulldogs take a 5-9 Missouri Valley Conference record on the road to play Evansville. The Bulldogs beat the Aces in their first meeting in Des Moines and defending junior guard D.J. Balentine was a key in the win.

Drake coach Ray Giacoletti says they had success in Des Moines against Balentine and will try to do the same on the road for the player who is averaging just over 19 points per game.

Giacoletti says another key will be defensive rebounding. He says they have to limit them to one shot, as they have done a good job of rebounding.

Evansville is fourth in the Valley standings with a record of 8-6.
