ISU-logoFor the second straight year Iowa State made the plays at crunch time to win at Oklahoma State as the 14th ranked Cyclones picked up a 70-65 win.

“It’s obviously an unbelievable win for our guys. The biggest thing is for confidence reasons, you know you can do it….guys just stepped up and made plays,” Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg said after the game.

The Cyclones had 18 offensive rebounds in the game, which Hoiberg says is what you have to do to win on the road. It snapped a four game road losing streak in the league race. “The biggest thing I was looking for this week was how we were going to respond to adversity, and I thought we handled it in a big time way tonight,” Hoiberg says.

ISU is 9-4 in the Big 12 whilew Oklahoma State is 7-7.
