A huge comeback in Ames. Trailing Oklahoma by 21 points in the second half Iowa State responded with a 22-0 run and went on to post a 77-70 victory.

“It was really fun to just go out there and just see things clicking after a first half where we just couldn’t get anything going,” ISU coach Fred Hoiberg says. He says the Cyclones picked up the intensity in the second half. “Our rebounding was phenomenal in the second half… it was similar to what they did to us in the second half down there when they got it going,” Hoiberg says.

Iowa State trailed by 19 at halftime but Hoiberg says nobody panicked and they were talking to each other and he says he knew they would come out and play hard in the second half.

The Cyclones are 11-6 in the Big 12 and 21-8 overall.
