ISU women fall 78-66 to Dayton in NCAA tourney

ISU-logoThe Iowa State women fell to the Dayton Flyers 78-66 today in Lexington, Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. Dayton took a 42-34 lead at halftime and built the lead to 16 in the second half — holding off several Cyclone rallies.

Nikki Moody led the Cyclones with 17 points and five assists. Moody ends her Iowa State career as the school’s all-time leader in assists with 745. The Cyclones finish the season at 18-13.
