A northern Iowa woman is dead after the motorcycle she was a passenger on collided with a car near Mason City. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says 63-year-old Margaret Bowe of Mason City was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at the intersection of State Highway 122 and Killdeer Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle, 54-year-old Todd Kephart of Mason City, was injured and taken to Mercy-North Iowa where he was listed in fair condition at last report. The accident report states the motorcycle was traveling east on State 122 at about 9:45 Saturday evening when a car driven by 17-year-old Timothy Thompson of Forest City pulled into the eastbound lanes in front of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to collide with the car. Thompson was not injured. The accident report says charges are pending. (Reporting by Bob Fisher, KRIB, Mason City)
