June 1, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Police car lightsAn eastern Iowa police chief’s son faces felony charges. Nineteen-year-old Drake Talkington is the son of Muscatine Police Chief Brett Talkington.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree burglary, trafficking in stolen weapons, second-degree theft and possession of methamphetamine.

That’s according to the Muscatine Journal. Drake Talkington allegedly entered his mother’s home without permission and stole a loaded handgun. The paper says when detectives interviewed him, they discovered 1/2 gram of meth. Drake Talkington was taken to the Muscatine County Jail.
