dnr-LOGO-thmbTwo central Iowa men were charged after a park ranger found them at Lake Ahquabi this past weekend with well above the legal limit of fish. Park Ranger Craig Oberbroeckling says someone called in a report tot he DNR’s Turn in Poachers hotline and he investigated.

The ranger found 47-year-old Win Maw and 69-year-old Alom Sayabongchana had taken 128 bluegills over the daily 25-fish limit. Both men were charged with five counts of being over the fishing limit.

Oberbroeckling also seized their fishing equipment and they face fines of $577 each and a possible 3-year suspension of their fishing licenses. They are set to appear in court June 10th.
