Mason City man to spend 40 years in prison on child porn charges

A Mason City man will spend four decades in prison on sex charges involving a child. Forty-one-year-old Micheal Jones pled guilty in January to one count each of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography.Jones admitted at his plea hearing that in April 2013 he produced sexually explicit video and photographs of a child. He also admitted to possessing child pornography.

Jones was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison where there is no parole.
