Muscatine men die in Cedar County accident

July 27, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Ambulance-genericTwo Muscatine residents are dead following a Cedar County crash. It happened a little after 4:30 Sunday morning on eastbound Interstate 80.

Troopers say a semi tractor and trailer were legally parked on the shoulder at the 271 mile marker. They say for unknown reasons a car left the roadway and hit the rear of the trailer.

The driver and passenger of the car died at the scene. They have been identified as 22-year-old Gregorio Tapia and 19-year-old Anthony Nunez. A Michigan man inside the semi was treated and released at the scene.
