Brown hopes to boost Iowa State ground game

Tyler Brown leads an inexperienced running back corps heading into the season at Iowa State. The redshirt sophomore from Lakeland, Florida is at the top of the depth chart after getting 24 carries in 2014.

Brown says an experienced offensive line should help the Cyclones improve a ground game that averaged just over 124 yards per game and ranked ninth in the Big-12 Conference. His focus right now is on making plays while limiting mistakes.

“Just worry about the good things and what you can do to perfect yourself”, said Brown. “The reps I did get in the games helped me understand the game more and what to expect at this level.”

The Cyclones open the season at home September fifth against UNI.
