The experience Allen Lazard gained as a true freshman should help him make even bigger strides this season. The Urbandale native stepped onto the Iowa State campus as a heralded recruit and earned immediate playing time.

Lazard finished second on the team in receptions with 45, including three for touchdowns.

“Being able to become a starter and getting experience playing will benefit me a lot this year”, said Lazard. I know what it is like to play division one and play in the Big-12.”

Lazard says he worked in the off season on adding speed and strength and has added at least 40 pounds to all of his main lifts.

The Cyclones open the season September 5th against UNI.
