Iowa senior wide receiver Tevaun Smith says he is developing good chemistry with junior quarterback C.J. Beathard. The senior from Toronto is the Hawkeyes top returning receiver after making 43 catches in 2014, including three touchdowns.

“It definitely helped during the off season just working with C.J. and not two different guys”, said Smith. He got confidence. I got a lot more confidence in him and you can tell in practice there is a little chemistry we have now so I am excited about this fall.”

With Kevonte Martin-Manley gone from last year’s team Smith becomes the leader of the receiving corps. The Hawkeyes open at home on September fifth against Illinois State.
