Man dies in grain bin accident in Farnhamville

Police-lightsA 27-year-old Gowrie man died Thursday morning after a grain bin accident.

Brett Steck entered a grain bin at the Farmers Cooperative Company facility in Farnhamville for a routine cleaning procedure when he became engulfed in soybeans.

Rescue crews from Farnhamville, Gowrie and Rockwell City were called to the scene. Officials with Farmers Cooperative said a full investigation will begin to try and find the cause of the fatal accident.
