GavelAn eastern Iowa man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for robbing a credit union in Davenport.

On Friday, June 6 of last year the Family Credit Union in Davenport was robbed by a man and a teenage boy. This spring a jury found 43-year-old Adrian Romal Lomas of Davenport guilty of the robbery.

Authorities say Lomas was carrying an “authentic-looking, imitation firearm” that he showed the teller before demanding money. The teller turned over about $4,000. Lomas put the cash in a backpack. Another person was waiting outside in a get-away vehicle. Authorities arrested Lomas five days later at a motel in Moline.
