Woman dies in Plymouth County crash

September 23, 2015 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Police-lightsA 24-year-old woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash near Westfield in northwest Iowa’s Plymouth County on Tuesday afternoon.

For some unknown reason, the driver — identified as Crystal Marie Ortega-Flores of Westfield — lost control of her SUV while traveling southbound, and entered the ditch and rolled several times.

Ortega-Flores was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The body was taken to the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

There was another passenger in the car, but he was uninjured.
