Police-lightsThree people are in the hospital after a car accident in Iowa City late Tuesday afternoon. It happened shortly before 5 p.m. near Kinnick Stadium and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 49-year-old Peggy Knight and 59-year-old Anthony Knight — both of Iowa City — were in a crosswalk when they were struck by a Honda Fit. The crash report indicated the driver, a 45-year-old Cedar Rapids woman, might have been suffering a medical issue. All three people were hospitalized, but there’s no word on their conditions.

The crash shattered windows on the car, and a shoe and a watch were found quite a distance away from the point of impact.
