October 1, 2015 By Dar Danielson

Police car lightsA former police officer and attorney has admitted to selling counterfeit currency to an undercover agent. Forty-three-year-old Brian Loren Stowe of Waverly pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids to one count of dealing in counterfeit currency.

Stowe admitted that he sold $900 in fake money for $250 in real money to an undercover law enforcement agent in February of this year. Stowe is a former police officer and attorney, who the Iowa Supreme Court disbarred in 2013 after he was convicted on felony forgery charges and received a deferred judgment for possession of methamphetamine.
