Fort Dodge man shot to death

Police-car-backFort Dodge Police are investigating a fatal shooting this morning. Authorities reported shots were fired in the area of Fourth Street Northwest. When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle parked in an nearby wooded area with the victim discovered in the driver’s seat.

The victim is identified as 30-year-old Wendell Clark of Fort Dodge. Clark was transported to Unity Point Hospital in Fort Dodge where he was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting Fort Dodge Police in their investigation of the shooting.
