Victim identified in fatal Denison fire

Fire-truckAuthorities have identified the person killed in a house fire in west-central Iowa over the weekend. The fire broke out early Saturday morning in Denison.

Officials say 56-year-old Craig Streck and 37-year-old Wendy Waldemar were in the home and were transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital. Waldemar died from her injuries, while Streck’s injuries were said to be minor. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
