Webster County authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Fort Dodge man wanted on an charge of animal torture. Fifty-two-year-old Gary A. Wilson is accused of throwing hot grease on his black Labrador Retriever.
The dog, named Bob, suffered second and third degree burns to its head and face. The incident is alleged to have occurred on November 18. Bob is currently in the care of his co-owner who was not present at Wilson’s residence at the time of the alleged offense.
A criminal complaint against Wilson was filed Tuesday in Webster County District Court in Fort Dodge. The case was referred to the Webster County Attorney’s office for criminal prosecution by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department and Animal Control office.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Wilson is asked to contact the Webster County Sheriff’s office in Fort Dodge.
