State and local authorities are investigating a weekend shooting in northeast Iowa.

The shooting happened Saturday, in Nashua. A 56-year-old man was found shot to death inside a home he shared with two adult sons. According to a statement from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, “the person who fired the gun has been identified and the incident remains under investigation.”

The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of relatives. People in Nashua told a reporter for KWWL that the dead man worked at a Casey’s store in Nashua.
