Davis County teen accused of murdering dad

January 11, 2016 By Dar Danielson

Crime-sceneA Davis County teenager is now charged with murder in the death of his father.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says 16-year-old Michael Goodwin Junior was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 39-year-old father, Michael Goodwin Senior.

The father’s body was found on December 13th at a home in rural Davis County after someone called the sheriff’s office for a welfare check.

The DCI is working with local investigators, and they are not releasing any other information on how the father was killed or what may’ve led up the murder.
