Bulldogs squander halftime lead in dropping seventh straight

Drake Bulldogs LogoMissouri State scored 50 second-half points to wipe away a 10 point Drake halftime lead, as the Bulldogs fell 79-70 at the Knapp Center Wednesday evening.
Drake was led by Reed Timmer’s 21 points as the sophomore scored 20 or more points in back-to-back games and seven times overall this season. Ore Arogundade added a career-high 12 points while freshman Dominik Olejniczak also notched a career high with 14 points.
Dequon Miller scored 23 points in the victory for Missouri State while Chris Kendrix added 14 points.
The Bulldogs dropped to 0-7 in the MVC and 5-14 overall. Drake will look to stop a seven game losing streak at Loyola Saturday.
