Black Hawk County escapee arrested for burglary

January 25, 2016 By Matt Kelley

Sheriff-patrolA man who was wanted for an escape charge is back in custody after being arrested for burglary in northeast Iowa.

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to Innovative Ag Services in Oran just before noon Sunday after someone broke into buildings and offices and took cash and other items.

Deputies arrested 47-year-old Brian Jon Latham of Waterloo and found he was wanted in Black Hawk County for an escape charge from the Department of Correctional Services.

Latham was then found to be in possession of items taken from the business in Oran. Latham recently left a Waterloo Residential Facility where he was on parole for a number of burglaries in Fayette County in 2011.
