Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders says his chances of winning the Iowa Democratic Party’s Caucuses hinge on “high” voter turnout. Sanders is making an appeal to young adults in his “nip and tuck” race with Hillary Clinton.

“Now there are a lot of folks out there, a lot of pundits who say: ‘You know, yeah, young people will come out to meetings and students will go to rallies and maybe they’ll volunteer, but when it counts on Election Night on February 1, they’re not going to show up.’ Let’s make those pundits eat those words,” Sanders said during a stop at Iowa State University yesterday.

Sanders visited a union hall in Des Moines this morning to highlight his opposition to “disastrous” trade deals like the Trans Pacific Partnership. Sanders said the TPP and other trade agreements have been written “by corporate America to benefit corporate America.”
