The two teams at opposite ends of the Missouri Valley Conference race meet in Des Moines when Drake hosts ranked Wichita State. The Bulldogs are in the Valley basement at 1-11 and host an 11-1 Shocker squad that has a commanding three game lead in the league race.

“Very rarely do you get a chance to get a top 25 team on your home court and the opportunity for that is exciting”, said Drake coach Ray Giacoletti. “We have talked with our team and we have got to match their toughness and how hard they play to have a chance.”

Wichita State beat the Bulldogs 67-47 in the Valley opener back on New Years Eve.

Drake is 6-18 overall. Wichita State is 17-6.
