The Iowa Hawkeye women hope to finish the regular season strong and it begins with a game at home on Thursday night against seventh ranked Ohio State. The Hawkeyes are 5-7 in the Big Ten after Sunday’s home loss to Michigan State.

“We are getting better and that is to be expected with a young team”, said Iowa coach Lisa Bluder. “I just think we have to take the positives from that game and be positive with the team and build on that.”

Ohio State is 11-1 in the Big Ten and is coming off a victory over fifth ranked Maryland. The Buckeyes have sole possession of the lead in the Big Ten.

“It is obviously an incredible basketball team coming in and one of the highest scoring teams in the country.”

The Hawkeyes are 15-9 overall.
