Ray Giacoletti
This Missouri Valley Conference season has been a disaster for Drake but Bulldog coach Ray Giacoletti remains confident in the future of the program. The Bulldogs are 1-13 in the Valley heading into tonight’s game against Evansville and have only won twice since the start of December.
“We are doing the best we can to finish as strong as we can and I still believe we have a very good core here but we need to add a couple of pieces to this”, said Giacoletti. “I think we do have a bright future ahead but we need to add a couple of pieces.”
Giacoletti’s best season at Drake was his first one when the Bulldogs finished 15-16. Since then, Drake is just 15-42.
Evansville is 9-5 in the Valley and 20-7 overall. The Aces hammered the Bulldogs 84-65 in their first meeting back on January 12th. Drake is just 6-20 overall and tip off in the Knapp Center is 8:00p.m.
