The Iowa Hawkeye women’s basketball team opens the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis on Thursday morning against Michigan. The ninth seeded Hawkeyes finished the regular season with an 8-10 league mark and go up against a Wolverine squad that finished 9-9.
The teams split two regular season games.
“They won at their place and we won at our place so now we meet on a neutral court”, said Iowa coach Lisa Bluder. “It should be a tremendous game.”
In their last meeting the Hawkeyes beat the Wolverines 85-69 in Iowa City.
It will be an early 11:00 a.m. tip off in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The winner advances to play top seeded Maryland.
