Meth operation discovered in Oskaloosa

Police-lightsA large meth lab was uncovered Sunday afternoon in southeast Iowa’s Mahaska County.

Emery Songer with KBOE Radio in Oskaloosa, reports officers with the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force entered an apartment at 206 Sixth Avenue East in Oskaloosa and found more than 20 one-pot meth labs.

Thirty-two-year-old Robert Carl Williams was arrested. He’s charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. The apartment building was evacuated for just over two hours. No one was injured. Several animals in the apartment were turned over to the Animal Rescue League.
