Authorities in eastern Iowa’s Scott County are releasing more information about a fatal crash.
The accident, which took place a little after 6 Wednesday night at a rural intersection in the northeast part of the county, was the second of two fatal accidents in Scott County on Wednesday. Deputies say 34-year-old Lucas Johnson of rural Scott County died at the scene when his car was hit by one that had run a stop sign.
The driver of the second car, 18-year-old Christopher Patricio of Davenport, was treated and released at a hospital as was a passenger, 18-year-old Cole Graham of Davenport.
The name of the truck driver killed in a crash earlier Wednesday has not yet been released. The driver died after his truck went off Highway 61 near Eldridge and rolled onto its side. A cause of the accident has not yet been determined, but police say high winds may have been a factor.
