An inmate has been captured, more than three weeks after escaping from a minimum-security correctional facility in Newton.
Michael Amodeo and Jessy Foley were discovered missing from the facility on the night of February 27. Both men were serving sentences for drug related offenses. Corrections officials say Foley has been apprehended and is back in the Newton, but this time he’s being held in the medium-security prison.
Amodeo is still at large. Officials believe he is hiding out in the Central Iowa area. Anyone with information about Amodeo’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
