Names released in Northeast Iowa murder-suicide

Sheriff-patrolAuthorities have now released the names of the two people involved in an apparent murder/suicide in northeast Iowa.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, 27-year-old Morgan Elizabeth Kaye of West Union, was found lying on the ground outside of an apartment building on Linden Street in West Union, just before 9 p.m. Monday. Kaye sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting suspect, identified as 27-year-old Anthony Ray Hebert of West Union, was later found in his pickup, just south of Calmar on Highway 150, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff, West Union Police, and Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation.
