The Northern Iowa women will be on the road for the third round of the WNIT Thursday night when they visit South Dakota.

The Panthers reached the round of 16 with wins over Nebraska and Drake.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this team”, said UNI coach Tanya Warren. “And no matter what happens at South Dakota we are going to enjoy this.”

The Panthers already own a win over South Dakota 64-43 in Cedar Falls back on November 17.

“They are a lot different team”, said Warren ” We played them when they were without their best player Nicole Seekamp. She is tremendous.”

Seekamp is averaging just over 16 points per game for a Coyote squad that averages just over 79 points per game.

UNI is 24-10. Tip off in Vermillion will be 7:00 p.m.
