Five charged after Davenport fight

March 29, 2016 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Police car lightsFive people face a list of charges in connection with violence in Davenport.

Police say some of the fighters, later identified as 19-year-old Shaquille Litt, 20-year-old Lameisha Moore and 20-year-old Breanna Thompson, all of Davenport, fled. But 25-year-old Kiara Nathaniel of Davenport was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by fighting.

Then, early Tuesday morning, police responded to a reported home invasion at Nathaniel’s north Davenport apartment. They say Litt, Moore, Thompson and 17-year-old Johnathan Washington of Clinton reportedly kicked in the door and used a stun gun to assault Nathaniel, who had bonded out of jail earlier. The four suspects fled the scene. But officers spotted their car nearby. They were stopped and apprehended after a half-hour chase.

A stun gun was recovered. Litt, Moore and Thompson are now charged with rioting in connection with the restaurant fight. Those three and Washington are also charged with burglary, felony eluding, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony and interference with official acts in connection with the home invasion.
