The Iowa Democratic Party’s Caucus Review Committee will hold its first public meeting in three weeks.
With a razor-thin margin of victory for Hillary Clinton and complaints about how the 2016 Iowa Caucuses were run, the chair of the Iowa Democratic Party announced in February she would appoint a “Caucus Review Committee.”
Soon after came word the chairman of that group would be former Iowa Congressman Dave Nagle, who is also a former chairman of the state party. The group’s other members have now been revealed and their first public meeting is set for April 23.
Iowa Republicans formed a similar review group after the 2012 Iowa Caucuses. Mitt Romney was declared the winner, by an eight vote margin, on Caucus night, but 10 days later after a statewide canvass, Rick Santorum was declared the winner.
