Decorah school buildings locked down after email threat

Police car lightsAll buildings in the Decorah School District are on lockdown today.

Decorah police say an email was sent to the Carrie Lee Elementary School from a subject with concerns over a curriculum matter. Police say they manner in which the complaint was phrased was concerning to them and school officials, prompting the precautionary safety measures.

Decorah Schools Superintendent, Mike Haluska, said in a statement to parents that every effort will be made to provide a safe and secure environment which will allow the students to have a normal day.
