Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell wants to end spring practice with a competitive game on Saturday and plans to divide the team into to equal squads.

“My gut feeling on it is I would like to draft out the teams which is what we have done at Toledo”, said Campbell. “It gives the seniors some ownership in it and we can have some fun with but create a competitive environment.”

The first half will feature two 15-minute quarters while the second half will consist of two 15-minute quarters with a running clock.

“I want to compete as much as we can right now and understand why you win and why you don’t win.”

Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. and ISU officials say only the east side of Jack Trice Stadium will be open for fans.
