Investigators say What Cheer woman killed by ex-boyfriend

April 12, 2016 By Matt Kelley

Crime Scene TapeAuthorities say a young woman who was killed in southeast Iowa last week was struck by a vehicle driven by her ex-boyfriend.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Courtney Christine Moore of What Cheer. Her body was found on a rural roadway in Mahaska County last Thursday morning and sheriff’s deputies say she’d been hit by a vehicle.

The person who was driving the vehicle is identified as 26-year-old Trenton Dwayne Garber. In a news release issued Monday, the Montezuma man is described as an ex-boyfriend of Moore’s. For now, there’s no word of any charges filed in the case.
